1. Send an email to ‘adoptions@shibarescue.org’ explaining why you are a great fit for him, along with proof of current vet records, including preventatives, for all pets in the house.
2. Submit a completed application.
3. Be willing to travel with all family members to the Sherman, IL area to meet/adopt him.

Hi there! My name is Snowstorm. I weigh 20 pounds and am 4-years-old.
I am looking for a home where I can be a solo dog! I would love a fenced-in yard where I can play fetch! It’s one of my favorite things to do. I don’t enjoy being with other dogs and am able to entertain myself just fine. I also love going for walks! I am an active dog and need an active family too!
I’m a people pleaser and really enjoy their company! I enjoy being a bit lazy and cuddling with the humans when they’re not tossing my ball to me. I do well when the humans have to leave during the day and just hang out in a room by myself.
If you’re looking for an energetic and curious dog be sure to schedule a time to meet me!

AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.
Any one interested in adopting this dog must first complete an adoption application indicating the name of the dog(s) they are interested in learning more about. Once the adoption application is received, our adoption coordinator will contact you. You must respond to this email to set up your home visit and complete the approval process. The entire adoption process is outlined on our web site.
NOTE: Due to the breed's independent and prey driven nature, Shibas should ALWAYS be leashed whenever they are outside of a securely fenced area. In addition, many Shibas are door bolters and care should be taken around doors and other escape points.
