Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue

WHO WE ARE

Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue (MSIR) was founded in 2002 and is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit and licensed rescue. We help to save and place Shiba Inu dogs throughout the Midwest, including IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, NE, OH, and WI.

A NETWORK OF VOLUNTEERS

MSIR does not have a facility - we are a network of volunteers and foster homes throughout the Midwest.  MSIR dogs live in volunteer foster homes where their medical needs are taken care of and they receive love, care and a little training until they can be placed in their forever home.

Some of the dogs we save are in danger of being euthanized in shelters, others are released from puppy mills, come in as strays, have medical or behavior issues or are from homes where their owners are not able to care for them anymore. 

HELP WANTED!

Thanks to our generous volunteers and donors, MSIR is able to care for and find loving homes for Shibas in need. And we are always in need of more foster homes, volunteers and donations to provide care.
