_____________________________________________________________________________

Hey there! I’m a 3-month-old Shiba mix puppy named Taffy!

I’m sweet, smart and playful! I’m learning the basic commands that will help me be a respectful member of my future family. I’m also learning how to walk on a leash…it’s a bit of a confusing contraption in my opinion - but I’m improving every day!

I love my people and am all about getting cuddles and pets. I do well with other dogs and even kids! I’m an adaptable little pup.

If you’re looking for a puppy that you can train and adapt to your lifestyle at a young age then I’m the dog for you!

  • Currently is being fostered near Roseville, MN

IMPORTANT: If you are interested in Taffy, please follow the instructions above, starting with emailing his personal secretary at adoptions@shibarescue.org with any applicable vet records for you current pets, and let us know why you think your family would be a perfect home. We are an all-volunteer rescue, so it may take time to receive a response. Please limit to one email per family - we thank you in advance for your patience!

AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.

Any one interested in adopting this dog must first complete an adoption application indicating the name of the dog(s) they are interested in learning more about.  Once the adoption application is received, our adoption coordinator will contact you.  You must respond to this email to set up your home visit and complete the approval process.  The entire adoption process is outlined on our web site.

NOTE: Due to the breed's independent and prey driven nature, Shibas should ALWAYS be leashed whenever they are outside of a securely fenced area.  In addition, many Shibas are door bolters and care should be taken around doors and other escape points.
