Hello! My name is Daisy. I’m 2-years-old and weigh about 23 pounds.
I’m ready to find my forever family who is ready to give me all the love, pets and attention I deserve! I’m so cute and sweet that I’m convinced my humans won’t mind giving me all the attention. I am looking for a walking buddy, too. I absolutely love walks and go on about 4 a day right now!
I’m a little nervous around new people and do best with slow, calm introductions, so living with small children is not ideal for me. I also get a bit nervous in new places but warm up to them fairly quickly after a while.
I do well with other dogs and cats but I’m not big into playing so I would do great as a solo pet if needed. I’m a laid back girl who just likes to relax, cuddle and watch out the window. When I’m left alone I just hang out and don’t mess with anything. I also do well in a crate, which is where I like to sleep!
I hope to meet my new family soon!
Currently is being fostered near Chicago, IL
IMPORTANT: If you are interested in Daisy, please follow the instructions above, starting with emailing his personal secretary at adoptions@shibarescue.org with any applicable vet records for you current pets, and let us know why you think your family would be a perfect home. We are an all-volunteer rescue, so it may take time to receive a response. Please limit to one email per family - we thank you in advance for your patience!
For general adoption questions, please check the website here: shibarescue.org/adoption-process
AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.
Any one interested in adopting this dog must first complete an adoption application indicating the name of the dog(s) they are interested in learning more about. Once the adoption application is received, our adoption coordinator will contact you. You must respond to this email to set up your home visit and complete the approval process. The entire adoption process is outlined on our web site.
NOTE: Due to the breed's independent and prey driven nature, Shibas should ALWAYS be leashed whenever they are outside of a securely fenced area. In addition, many Shibas are door bolters and care should be taken around doors and other escape points.
