Kuto is fostered in Washington, Illinois.
Kuto is a handsome 1 1/2 year old black & tan boy full of energy. He is young and still very excitable when meeting new people so will require some work on basic manners. He able to calm down and behave once the initial excitement wears off and he has exerted some energy. Regular exercise and lots of play time will be important for this guy!
Kuto has lived in a home with other dogs and done really well. He would be best with another energetic dog companion to help burn off some of that energy, and one that would not mind helping to teach him proper dog manners. Kuto has not been around cats, but we fell due to his energy level that would not be a good match. He would also do best in a home with older children as he tends to jump up on people when excited.
Kuto is housebroken and crate trained. Due to his continued puppy energy it is recommended he be crated when left alone in the home. He walks on leash, but will need some work on the not pulling as he gets very excited about walks.
If you are interested in learning more about Kuto, please email his foster Mom at firstname.lastname@example.org.

NOTE: Due to the breed's independent and prey driven nature, Shibas should ALWAYS be leashed whenever they are outside of a securely fenced area. In addition, many Shibas are door bolters and care should be taken around doors and other escape points.
