We would like to introduce you to Synamon. She was part of a commercial breeder release. She weighs 17 pounds and is a small Shiba. In our foster home, she lives with another Shiba Inu and two other mixed breed dogs. She gets along well with all of the dogs and will play with them and various toys.

Synamon is working on her potty training. We keep her on a lead to limit her roaming around the home where she might have an accident. She does well in a crate and will go into her crate on her own at bedtime.

Synamon does well on a lead, which she learned quickly when she came to the foster home. She is friendly to everyone and is not aggressive. She loves attention and enjoys being scratched and rubbed.

Synamon may have an allergy that causes her to rub herself on the furniture and the floor. Her hair is a little stiff and appears to be thin on some parts of her body. She hasn't been with us long enough for us to determine if better food will cure the need to itch. She does not jump on furniture. She had her teeth cleaned and had seven teeth removed. Her front teeth are not in alignment giving her a lopsided smile, which endears her to you even more.

Synamon will make an excellent pet and will warm up quickly to her new surroundings.

The adoption fee for Synamon is $250.  Please refer to the MSIR website for more information on the application and adoption process.

NOTE: DUE TO THE BREED'S INDEPENDENT NATURE, SHIBAS SHOULD ALWAYS BE LEASHED WHENEVER THEY ARE OUTSIDE OF A SECURELY FENCED AREA. IN ADDITION, MANY SHIBAS ARE DOOR BOLTERS AND CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN AROUND DOORS AND OTHER ESCAPE POINTS.
  • Upon completion of each positive motivation-based obedience class, MSIR will rebate the new adopters $25.
  • And, upon earning a Good Canine Citizen certificate, MSIR will rebate another $25!

Any one interested in adopting Synamon must first complete an adoption application and indicate, in the comments section, their interest in Synamon.
The entire adoption process is outlined on our web site. Once the adoption application is received,  Cynthia will contact you.
