Max is a playful, affectionate 7.5 year old Shiba Inu. He likes to follow you around and wants your attention. He has been tested with other dogs and does well. Max knows sit, come and walks well on a leash. Max needs some obedience retraining and learns quickly so he will need a forever home that is committed to obedience training and follow through.

Max has a lot of energy and would love someone to take him on long walks. Max is kennel trained however, he prefers to be with others and when he first goes in the crate or has had enough of being crated he will let you know. He is a door bolter. When he sees the opportunity he will make a try for the door. Max has some issues that need to be worked on so due to this Max will only be adopted to a home with prior shiba experience and homes with teenage or older children. He is an absolute doll.

The adoption fee for Max is $200  Please refer to the MSIR website for more information on the application and adoption process.

NOTE: DUE TO THE BREED'S INDEPENDENT NATURE, SHIBAS SHOULD ALWAYS BE LEASHED WHENEVER THEY ARE OUTSIDE OF A SECURELY FENCED AREA. IN ADDITION, MANY SHIBAS ARE DOOR BOLTERS AND CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN AROUND DOORS AND OTHER ESCAPE POINTS.
  • Upon completion of each positive motivation-based obedience class, MSIR will rebate the new adopters $25.
  • And, upon earning a Good Canine Citizen certificate, MSIR will rebate another $25!

Any one interested in adopting null must first complete an adoption application and indicate, in the comments section, their interest in null.
