Lilly is fostered in Madison, Wisconsin.

Meet Lilly!  She's a sweet-as-pie 4 year old Shiba Inu-Schipperke mix looking for her forever home.

Lilly's perfect forever home would have a securely fenced in yard due to the escape-prone nature the shiba breed.  Right now, Lilly lives with three foster fursiblings: two shibas and one schipperke.  She gets along with her fellow housemates (and other dogs) great!  Lilly is from a commercial breeder, so she is working on potty training but making wonderful progress.  Because of Lilly's past life she can be a little shy around strangers, but once she gets to know you she'll be your best friend!  A forever home with other friendly and playful dogs is ideal, as it will help Lilly come out of her shell even more.

Lilly is crated during the day while her foster parents are at work and does really well - in fact, she doesn't even seem to mind it!  She rarely barks and is a fan of snuggling up with her foster parents at night!  Lilly is wonderful on a leash and really enjoys walking.

With a little patience and training, we know this sweet and tiny girl will make the perfect best friend!  If you are interested in learning more about Lilly, please contact her foster parents at fredorjodie@gmail.com

AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.

Any one interested in adopting this dog must first complete an adoption application indicating the name of the dog(s) they are interested in learning more about.  Once the adoption application is received, our adoption coordinator will contact you.  You must respond to this email to set up your home visit and complete the approval process.  The entire adoption process is outlined on our web site.

NOTE: Due to the breed's independent and prey driven nature, Shibas should ALWAYS be leashed whenever they are outside of a securely fenced area.  In addition, many Shibas are door bolters and care should be taken around doors and other escape points.
