Hiro is fostered in Centerville, Ohio.
Meet Hiro! This handsome guy is a three year old black and tan shiba inu. Hiro is such a sweet boy who is looking for a forever home that can offer patience while he continues to earn trust.
Hiro is crate trained and housebroken, and likes being outside in a fenced-in yard. While Hiro is not an aggressive dog whatsoever, he would be best in a home with either older children or none at all due to his need for a quiet environment to foster his trust and build his confidence. Hiro has shown an increased level of stress around small children due to the sudden movements and sounds.
However, Hiro would do best in a home with another resident dog. He is good at going on walks using a harness, and he really enjoys spending time with his foster brother and sister, and even doesn't mind the resident cat.
Hiro is a healthy dog, although he is on a daily medication to help control seizure. His seizures can occur 3-4 times a year, with the last one was back in August. If you'd like to learn more about this handsome man, please contact his foster mom at firstname.lastname@example.org.
AN APPLICATION AND HOME VISIT MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO ADOPTION.
Any one interested in adopting this dog must first complete an adoption application indicating the name of the dog(s) they are interested in learning more about. Once the adoption application is received, our adoption coordinator will contact you. You must respond to this email to set up your home visit and complete the approval process. The entire adoption process is outlined on our web site.
NOTE: Due to the breed's independent and prey driven nature, Shibas should ALWAYS be leashed whenever they are outside of a securely fenced area. In addition, many Shibas are door bolters and care should be taken around doors and other escape points.
